Description | 92 rock samples were crushed so that at least 70 percent of the material passed through a -10 (2 mm) mesh screen. A 200-gram, representative split of the sample was then taken using a riffle splitter. The 200-gram sample was then pulverized in a chrome steel ring mill so that 95 percent of the sample passed through a -150 (106 micron) mesh screen. 92 samples were analyzed for major and minor element oxides using X-ray Fluorescence Spectroscopy following a lithium metaborate fusion. Trace elements were analyzed using X-ray Fluorescence Spectroscopy on a pressed pellet. |
