Description CIPW norms for the major element analyses were calculated using a highly modified version of the basic program "Petcal" written for DOS in the BASIC programming language. The program was originally proposed by Bingler and others, 1976, Nevada Bureau of Mines and Geology Report 28 and modified by Richard Koch in 1983. Discriminant functions developed by Newberry and Burns (1989) using SAS statistical software were used to evaluate the gold potential of the samples.

Description 44 samples were prepped by crushing and pulverizing. 44 samples were analyzed by the following methods and digestions: for FeO using titrimetric analysis; for major oxides by XRF after lithium tetraborate fusion; for trace elements by XRF after pressed pellet preparation. Fe2O3 % and FeO total % is calculated.
