||827 rock samples were crushed so that at least 70 percent of the material passed through a -10 (2 mm) mesh screen. A 200-gram, representative split of the sample was then taken using a riffle splitter. The 200-gram sample was then pulverized in a chrome steel ring mill so that 95 percent of the sample passed through a -150 (106 micron) mesh screen. 827 samples were analyzed for major and minor oxides using X-ray Fluorescence after lithium metaborate fusion; for gold on a 30-gram split using Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy after Fire Assay; for trace elements using Inductively Coupled Plasma - Atomic Emission Spectroscopy following HCl:HNO3 (3:1) acid digestion. XRF analysis was performed on raw (non-fused) rock samples by Inco Limited's laboratory in Copper Cliff, Ontario for barium, niobium, strontium, yttrium and zirconium.
