Rock samples were collected from outcrops either via grab/float samples, bulk samples, or chip samples taken at lengths and intervals as noted in sample descriptions. "Representative" and high-grade chip and grab samples were also taken and noted as such. Pan concentrate samples were collected by panning material from one to four 16-inch pans and saving heavy minerals for analysis. Stream sediment samples were collected by screening bulk sediments to a -80 mesh fraction. Soil samples were collected for analysis using unspecified methods. Analysis for concentrations of Pt, Pd, and Au by either fire assay, fire assay followed by atomic absorption, or ICP spectroscopy. Analysis for concentrations of Ag, Cu, Fe, V, and Ti by either atomic absorption or x-ray fluorescence. In cases of multiple analysis methods the authors selected and presented what they felt to be the most accurate value from available data. Analyses were conducted at the following labs: TSL Laboratories, Spokane WA, Bondar-Clegg Inc., Lakewood CO, and the Bureau of Mines Research Center, Reno NV. |
