Stream samples were collect from the finer sandy portion of the active channel or deepest part of a dry but recently active stream bed. Samples where then dried and screened to a minus 80-mesh. Rock samples were usually collected as random chip samples across the sample area. Whole-rock major oxide analyses were performed by using atomic absorption by Bondar-Clegg. An unknown laboratory performed trace element analysis for cobalt, copper, nickel, and lead by atomic absorption. Gold, silver, cobalt, chromium, copper, and nickel content was determined by atomic absorption with results reported in ppm. The samples were preconcentrated by fire assay before being analyzed for gold, platinum, palladium, iridium, osmium, rhodium, ruthenium by inductively coupled plasma. |
